Catfishing the Countryside: Sab Carly Ahlen Used Fake Dating Profile to Target Hunting Community

A Kent-based hunt saboteur has been caught using a fake identity on popular dating app Hinge in what appears to be a deliberate attempt to infiltrate the hunting and countryside community.
Carly Ahlen, a regular with West Kent Hunt Saboteurs and founder of GABO Wildlife, created a profile under the name 'Clementine', portraying herself as a Land Rover-loving, privately educated woman with a passion for "The Countryside… Traditional British Values and old school."
Curious interests for someone who, by her own admission to the League Against Cruel Sports, is "out every weekend" disrupting lawful trail hunts.
Ahlen's cover was blown after she provided a phone number to one of our sources. That number links directly to her role at GABO Wildlife and, better still, to her LinkedIn account - unravelling the 'Clementine' persona entirely.
Who is Carly Ahlen?
Based in Dartford, Kent, Ahlen is a self-described marine mammals medic, drone pilot, and migratory birds specialist. She is affiliated with both Surrey Hunt Sabs and Kent Hunt Sabs, and has links to the League Against Cruel Sports.
An ex-Royal Logistics Corps veteran, Ahlen has openly boasted about using her "fieldcrafts and military background out in the countryside monitoring fox hunts." She was also spotted at the end of last season carrying what appeared to be a baton while masked up and out sabbing.
So, if you're swiping through Hinge and come across a countryside-loving, privately educated pilot called 'Clementine', it might just be too good to be true.
