Stephen Nash spent his working days as Head of Commercial Property at Fenn Wright - a respectable Colchester estate agency, the sort of outfit that values discretion and reputation. Evenings and weekends, according to sources, were a different matter entirely. Nash was out "nearly every day" with the South Suffolk Hunt Sabs, turning up at meets, disrupting lawful hunts, and making a general nuisance in the Suffolk countryside. The double life, it seems, had a shelf life. Nash is no longer at Fenn Wright, and according to a source, he "left quite quickly” last week. He now has something else to occupy his time: a court date at Ipswich Magistrates' Court on 26 October, where he will stand trial for allegedly threatening a huntsman.

A Property Man With Nothing Left to Sell

This incident from 27 September 2025 shows Nash surveilling the huntmaster’s activities from a private property in Hadleigh, where the kennels of the Essex and Suffolk Hunt are located. Sources indicate this is far from an isolated occurrence. His tetchy reaction to being caught speaks volumes about a man who has developed something of a habit of placing himself above the law.

Nash faces an allegation of threatening a huntsman on a non-hunting day, a Section 5 offence that brought him before a court for a first hearing on 20 March 2026. He was released on conditional bail and will stand trial at Ipswich Magistrates' Court on 26 October this year.

A Short Fuse and A Long Record

One suspects patience was not a virtue practised in the Nash household. Sources tell BTM that his confrontational streak extends well beyond his unwanted appearances at Essex and Suffolk Hunt meets. "He's always shouting at people when confronted for his sabbing at Morrison's, a real potty-mouth," one contact confides. Apparently, the Morrison's car park is as much a battlefield as the hunting field.

Nash has already been quietly removed from the Fenn Wright website, his name scrubbed from the team page with the kind of haste that speaks louder than any formal statement. The agency has said nothing publicly. It didn't need to.

Stereotypically Boring

Nash embodies every tired cliché of the hunt saboteur. He shadows lawful hunts, intimidates followers, and meddles in traditions he has made no effort to understand, driven by a self-importance that far outstrips his grasp of the countryside. This is not new. BTM notes that Bret Tully of the Welsh Border Wildlife Protectors was allegedly found camping outside a huntmaster's kennels. Nash is simply the latest in a long line of saboteurs recycling the same tired behaviour.

Sue Who?

Nash’s collaborator is none other than his wife, Sue Taylor, a regular presence on the saboteur circuit. While she is out just as regularly as her husband, her balaclava stays on tight, and there are few images of her sabotaging without wearing it. Who are you, Sue, and what are you hiding?

According to the British Gymnastics Foundation, she turns out to be someone who “works tirelessly to build relationships and grow networks across her local communities in Suffolk and Essex”. Encouraging community strength with the British Gymnastics Foundation, while tirelessly trying to destroy other people’s traditions and heritage.

Taylor's passion for organising movement classes for dementia patients may earn her praise in her local community, but it does little to excuse her behaviour in the countryside. Her real hobby, it seems, is harassing hunt followers and disrupting lawful rural pursuits. Taylor would do well to recognise that good work in one area does not give licence to cause harm in another. Stick to the gym classes and leave the lawful hunts alone.

Allegedly Sue behind the mask
Allegedly Sue behind the mask

Stephen Nash harassed a huntsman, lost his job, and has a court date in October. His wife turns up in a balaclava and hopes anonymity does the rest. Neither of them is a crusader - they're recycling the same tired playbook that has come before them, and finding, like those before them, that it carries consequences. The countryside will still be here long after the Nashes have exhausted their appetite for trouble.
